If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to complete an AccuRx which will provide the Nurse with all of the information necessary regarding your travel. Please submit a travel AccuRx. It is important to submit your AccuRx at least 6 weeks before you travel as a consultation may be required with the practice nurse to actually receive vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stocked vaccine and the consultation sometimes needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow them to work.
Please note that some travel vaccines are orderes on a private prescription and these can incur a charge over the normal NHS prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS. Also, you may need to visit a private travel clinic depending on what vaccinations you need.
