Bexley on your Radar Posted or Updated on 7 Dec 2023

Bexley are hosting a free event for young people aged 16 to 25 who have a learning disability, complex physical or health needs including Autism and their families.

The event will showcase the range of support and services available from Adult Social Care, to prepare for the transition to adulthood.

This year’s event will be held at Danson Youth Centre Brampton Road, Bexleyheath DA7 4EZ on Thursday 28 September from 10am to 3pm.

The event follows on from our first ‘Bexley on your Radar’ event at Hall Place in 2021.

There will be over 35 providers available to talk to residents about services and support available in Bexley.

Attendees will be able to chat with a team of professionals who will be on hand to discuss the best options available and help in planning our young people’s future.

Parking is available in the adjacent college and Sports centre.

Councillor Melvin Seymour - Cabinet Member for Adults' Services & Health said:

Families who have young people with additional needs will often find it challenging to locate information about the services that benefit them.
Bexley on your Radar event is one way we can alert families to what’s on their doorstep.

We hope to reach as many of our young people with additional needs in our communities as possible with information and advice about the range of support available locally for them”.

To book your place call 0203 045 5594 or email the Complex Care Team.

  • Session Times: 10am to 12.30pm and 1pm to 3pm
